CBSE class X and XII results 2012 declared

The CBSE has declared class 12th results 2012 on May 28 and class 10th results on May 24. The results can be accessed at

CBSE has begun its second phase of counselling for students and parents which will continue till June 7. Counselling is available through calls, interactive voice response system (IVRS) and CBSE's website. One can call on the toll free number - 1800 180 3456 - from 8 am upto midnight.

Girls, as year after year, have outperformed boys in both CBSE class 12 as well as class 10 results. In fact, Chennai recorded the highest pass percentage among the CBSE regions.

Since last year, CBSE class X examination is being coducted under the CCE scheme with the results being reflected in grades. This year, approximately 60% appeared for the school-based examination while 40% appeared for the Board-based examinations.

CBSE is the apex board of education in the country. It is not only having a pan Indian jurisdiction but also has global presence with nearly 141 affiliated schools across 21 countries.

The Board also grants affiliation to schools up to higher secondary level and develops common curriculum taking into consideration nationwide requirements.
